August 2012 | Personal Project

Filed in: Personal

Summer has come & gone, and I have been lucky enough to have spent the majority of my free time away at my family cottage, introducing my son to the beach.

I have noticed recently that I tend to have my 35mm lens on my camera 99% of the time, so last week I forced my self to attach my 300mm macro and to capture my surroundings in a way in which I tend to ignore.

This little self development project made me slow down and really look. When shooting macro, I turned off my cameras auto focus sensor and practiced a steady stance {and holding my breath}

The world around us is so beautiful, so my proposal to you reading this is to slow down today and really take the time to look, I bet you will be surprised at how lucky we truly are.

If you cant tell, I really like dandelions

August 31 brought us a blue moon, This was my first attempt at shooting for the stars!

Please don’t forget to head over to my facebook page and “like” it if you haven’t already.
xoxo
